Hi friends! My name is Emily Hoffman. I am a wife, mom, nurse, homemaker, and  Marquette Method Instructor. I graduated from the nursing school at the University of Texas (Hook ‘em Horns!) and have specialized in women’s health ever since.

My nursing career began on a specialty unit caring for women with pregnancy complications, and later led to six years in the excitement of the Labor and Delivery unit. Caring for women and families through both their greatest sorrows and greatest joys lit a passion within me for the ever important and often underappreciated field of women’s health.

My Natural Family Planning Journey

Inspired by the symphony of hormones at play all around me in the workplace, coupled with a deeper conviction to understand my own biology, I first learned a cervical mucus method of NFP in 2018. I loved every bit of insight about my own body that NFP brought me.

In 2020, my now husband and I chose to learn the Marquette Method together during our engagement. We were primarily drawn to the clarity and objectivity of the data. I felt a huge relief that I was not the sole interpreter of our combined fertility. We have since used the Marquette Method successfully through engagement, international travel, nightshift, several moves, early marriage, postpartum, and breastfeeding.

I know first hand the wild ride our hormones can take during life’s twists and turns and I am so grateful for the peace of mind and flexibility the protocols have provided through each season. 

With the help of NFP and God’s never ending generosity, our family has grown. We have been blessed with two beautiful children, Maggie & Henry, and now have one more on the way! Life continues to be a grand adventure.

Through the lens of both motherhood and my nursing career, I am more convinced than ever that women are fascinating, resilient beings.
