Katie Creviston, RN
Marquette Method Instructor, Colorado
One-on-one, personalized training in the Marquette Method, in-person and online
Hi! I’m Katie Creviston. I’m a wife, mother, Registered Nurse, Marquette Method instructor, and lover of the outdoors.
My NFP Journey
When my husband Scott and I got married in 2011, we learned a symptothermal method of NFP and practiced it until we decided to start our family. We used lactational amenorrhea to intentionally space our four kids, but after our fourth was born we wanted to re-evaluate our NFP options.
We learned about the Marquette Method and were intrigued by the claims that it was simple and effective. I also loved the objectivity of the method—it worked well with my personality and took so much pressure off of me as the woman. Scott and I found an instructor, learned the method, and discovered that Marquette’s claims were all true! Marquette really was simple, objective, and effective. We’ve been practicing Marquette ever since.
Why I Became an Instructor
While we were researching Marquette, I learned that it was taught exclusively by healthcare professionals. As a nurse, I knew it would be a great fit for me to teach. I’m fascinated by the human body, I love teaching, and I’m passionate about NFP. I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado College of Nursing in 2006. In my nursing practice, I’ve loved teaching patients. I’ve also taught other nurses as a clinical nurse educator at UCHealth in Aurora, Colorado.
I began the Marquette Method instructor course at the beginning of 2019. In it, I learned about how much information can be gleaned about a woman’s gynecological and overall health by tracking the menstrual cycle. This revelation further fueled my passion for NFP.
Tracking one’s menstrual cycle is beneficial for woman in all stages of life. I would be honored to help you navigate your fertility, whatever season of fertility you are in. NFP isn’t just for married couples—it’s valuable for those who are single, preparing for marriage, newlyweds, just had a baby, a seasoned parent, or in perimenopause. I will meet you where you are on your NFP journey, and show you how practice the Marquette Method effectively and confidently.
I’m a naturalist at heart. I feel passionate about helping others to live with their fertility in its natural state. I believe that we are at our best when we work with our bodies in ways that align with their God-given purpose and design—whether it be with food, movement, or NFP. As one of Vitae Fertility’s Marquette Method instructors, I get to teach others about their bodies, God’s natural design for our fertility, and how NFP co-operates and works within this framework.
Knowledge really is power. I love empowering woman and couples with the Marquette Method.
